Here at Tassie Taste Buds, we welcome travellers from all around the world who want to have a taste of what it’s like to be a part of a small, local, artisan business in beautiful Tasmania. They are able to participate in and learn about all stages of production, right through from the planting and harvesting of our fresh produce, to preparing, cooking, packaging and then selling the finished product. They experience the buzz of being behind-the-scenes at a stall at world-famous Salamanca Market, and become a genuine part of our little community in this lovely part of the world.

I have found it satisfying to be involved in all elements of TassiTastBuds production line. Picking chopping , pulping , watching you make it up into a special sensation and packaging and labelling the goodies!

Clair,

I also enjoy the talking with you and Bill and playing with your girl Bonnie. She is just so sweet. The Salamanca market, Bruny  Island ,BBQ, they are just all new and wonderful experience to me. All the components made my first working experience perfect!

Tasmania is a rugged, old, and mysterious place that Becca and I found ourselves getting lost in. I hope whoever reads this finds themselves lost in Tassie.

From day 1 it felt like home in your lovely little  wwoofer cabin for almost 3 weeks! From starry nights at 3612 Channel Hwy to secret picnic spot at Clifton to throwing sticks for Bonny to fetch at Trial Bay ( or balls or pears or whatever at home) to polishing quinces like the finest silver to test playing croquet to taking a leap in the dam in the middle of a BBQ party!

It has really been great with you ! Making a fire ,digging the ground, having good and beautiful Australian food. Looking at stars from the bed. All these things are for the first time in my life!

I had many fun and interesting experiences. Hopefully the compost bins and blueberry poles are still standing after the storm !. From going snorkelling, collecting local oysters and selling your products at Salamanca and Huon festival, we have had a rewarding and unforgettable time. You have made my trip to Tasmania much more than another climbing trip.

Susan and Simon

We came for 2 weeks and stayed for 6 . It has been our pleasure to help you establish your garden and your dream.  We have had fun doing new things ,(the Markets) and meeting new people.
